In June 2021, Tiffany’s world tragically changed when a fatal domestic violence incident cut her daughter’s life short. Rather than allowing resentment to dominate her life, Tiffany leaned into her family and became the primary guardian of her three young grandchildren. Tiffany had already raised children of her own but quickly found herself back in the role of “mom”. Her active grandchildren needed her strength and grace, and she wanted to provide them stability; however, the lack of reliable transportation made normal life difficult. Neighbors Who Care was able to connect Tiffany with Road Worthy, and her repaired vehicle is now back in action.
With a reliable vehicle, Tiffany is able to transport her grandchildren to school, therapy and doctor's appointments, and after-school activities. Most importantly, she is able to surround her grandchildren with their extended family’s deep love. Her grandchildren enjoy making music on their drum set, video games, and an active prayer life. While her family is still grieving, transportation no longer contributes to their anxiety. She is now able to be a pillar of strength for her young family.
