This is Betsy, and I’m a student in transition finishing my last year of my high school education. Recently, I purchased my first car. I worked crazy hours to save money for this car to be able to have a reliable source of transportation. Having a reliable car, made living life as a full time student and working 40 hours a week a little easier. I used to have to take Uber, which was super expensive to get to work, school and other activities. I have lived on my own as a year and a half now since I was 16. A reliable car allowed me to not have to constantly ask for rides from my friends and gave me the freedom to do the things I needed to do. Shortly after purchasing my car, it began to have mechanical issues. I didn’t have the money to spend on car repairs since I have to have money for medical emergencies, utilities and basic necessities to live. I was connected to Road Worthy and they were able to help me get my car repaired which took a huge load off my mind, and set me up for success in my senior year of high school. These individuals have helped restore my faith in humanity as a young woman who has had to learn to survive and depend on no one but herself. I am forever grateful.
